"Great Boots" 10/2/2008
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Freestyle
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Heel hold, Comfortable, Easy lacing, Good quality, Warm, Breathable, Easy in & out, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  average

Experience:   I picked these up at a sale at my "local" shop. Best fit I could find. I really like these boots. I'll have to wait until we get snow for a proper review though.

  • Name: 2012 Dakine Scout Short Gloves
  • Pros:  Removable Liner, Strong Seams, Very Warm

Experience:   For the price, I believe this is probably the best pair of gloves available. The gloves feel quite warm without the liner, and with them, I don't think I'll have a problem keeping warm any time soon. Very happy with my purchase.
"Decent for the price I got them. Wore quickly" 11/27/2012

  • Name: 2011 Burton Profile Under Gloves Men's
  • Pros:  Stayed warm, Waterproof,
  • Cons:  Seam connecting thumb to palm ripped, Seam on thumb starting to rip,

Experience:   They worked just fine for a while. They then started ripping at the seams, allowing snow in. Obviously this isn't good. They were good while they lasted but needed to be replaced.
"Best gloves I've had...while they lasted." 11/24/2012

  • Name: 2010 Burton Gore Under Gloves Men's
  • Pros:  Very warm., Waterproof as advertised. , My hands didn't get sweaty like with others.
  • Cons:  Thumb got cut up on the edge of my board., Velcro started detaching on wrist. ,

Experience:   As far as the cons go, the thumb getting cut up was quite possibly my fault. Just over time the edge of my board wore them down and one of the seams ripped. The velcro detaching was quite strange, but they still function fine. The gloves themselves are very warm, and they still serve me well.
"Works, but not a replacement for the real thing." 8/8/2012

  • Name: 2007 Test Pilot Jumbo All Temp Wax 100gm
  • Pros:  Easy to use., No hassle., Quick.
  • Cons:  Doesn't last very long. ,

Experience:   I used this last season as a stopgap to real wax, but quickly realized there was no substitute. It works, but doesn't work for as long, or as well as real wax. If its this or nothing, get this, otherwise, go for the real deal.

"Got this coat a few seasons ago. Wanted to wait to review to see how it would hold up." 8/8/2012

  • Name: 2010 Burton Esquire Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Looks good., Durable, Many useful pockets
  • Cons:  A little baggy,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Feels just fine on me. Perhaps a little baggy, but that would be nit picking.

Experience:   I've had this coat for a few seasons now, and it is wearing incredibly well. Looks practically like new, and functions as well as it has since day one. It should be noted that I use this as both a general coat, as well as for snowboarding. I couldn't be happier with it.
