"Good for beginners" 2/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Burton Moto Snowboard Boots
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Breathable, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Low quality
  • Fit:  soft

Experience:   I bought these when I was learning, and they were great. However, I had to retire them and buy something with better support and stiffness after just one season, because I had already "grew out of them" (my riding was beyond the ability of these boots). I recommend them as a cheap boot for a beginner, but not for a seasoned rider.
"Awesome goggles..." 3/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Smith I/OS Womens
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Good Vision, Exchangable lenses

Experience:   I really love these goggles. The lenses are incredibly easy to switch out. The visibility I have with these goggles is far better than the visibility with my Anon goggles. They fit very comfortably on my face, and I really like the frameless look.
"Great bindings..." 2/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Union Force
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Adjustable, Responsive
  • Cons:  A bit on the heavier/bulky side, Toe strap is sometimes hard to release,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I paired these bindings up with my Capita Sierrascope, and I absolutely love them. I have heard a lot of people complain about the way the toe strap fits their boots, but it feels like the strap was made especially for my Thirty Two Lashed boots. I never have problems with the straps slipping or needing to be adjusted, they fit perfectly. They are a bit heavier than my Burton bindings, but they also feel much more durable, so I don't mind.
"The only board you need..." 2/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Capita Sierrascope FK
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Butters,Groomed,Jibs,Jumps,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Soft and flexy when you want it, Solid and stable when you need it, SO MUCH FUN!!!
  • Cons:  Only made in 152 and 156,

Experience:   I demo'd this board at Bruizzapalooza in Steamboat, CO and absolutely fell in love (to the point I had to take it home with me!). I mainly rode in ungroomed powdery conditions while in Steamboat, and the Sierrascope did amazing through it all (even in the choppy stuff). It floated very well. What I love the most about this board is that it is soft and flexy when you want it to be, but when you need it to be solid and stable, it gets the job done! I never felt like this board was noodley while simply riding it, but it was almost effortless when I wanted to flex/butter it. Normally I ride a 148 (I'm a 5'8 145lb. female), but I have a 152 Sierrascope and have absolutely no problem, so sizing up a bit is not an issue. Do yourself a favor and pick one of these bad boys up, you won't regret it!
"Awesome board..." 12/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Capita Space Metal Fantasy Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Rails
  • Pros:  Nice flex, Stable, Perfect for jibbing rails

Experience:   This board is everything that I hoped it would be when I purchased it. It is nice and flexy, without feeling like a noodle. I previously had a problem buttering and popping ollies on my old board, but after just a few runs with this board, I was popping ollies off of everything, and buttering much easier. It is stable at higher speeds, and jibbing rails feels almost effortless. I think this board would be suitabe for anyone who loves to ride park, from beginners, just learning to jib rails, to advanced riders who have been riding the park for years. Capita definitely got it right with their Flat Kick technology.
"Gravis A-Bah Womens Review" 8/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis A-Bah Womens
  • Pros:  Cheap
  • Cons:  Not very comfortable

Experience:   These flip flops aren't really soft at all. They are pretty stiff, but one good thing is that they don't hold water like some of my other flip flops do, so they are ideal for wearing around the pool or the beach. I wouldn't want to walk around all day in these things, though.
"Burton Player Hooded Womens Thermal Top Review" 8/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Playa Hooded Thermal Top
  • Pros:  Comfortable, wam, lightweight.
  • Cons:  The material is clingy

Experience:   This hooded thermal is perfect for layering on cold days. It's also cute, so it can be worn off the mountain as well. The only thing you might not like about it is that the material clings to your body quite a bit, so if you don't like clingy tops, you might not like this thermal.
"Burton Pipe Womens Review" 8/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Pipe Womens
  • Pros:  Lightweight, good grip, comfortable.
  • Cons:  Gets wet easily

Experience:   These gloves are perfect for spring riding. They have good grip for holding grabs, and are easy to maneuver in. They get wet easily, but most pipe gloves do, so they obviously aren't ideal for super cold days.
"Looks slightly different than in the picture..." 4/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Lowdown Womens
  • Cons:  The shoe does run slightly small, and the sole is pretty stiff and not very comfortable.

Experience:   When I purchased these shoes, I thought they were white (other than the graphic), and I didn't realise that they were canvas shoes. The graphics on the shoe is actually a lot darker than it looks in the picture, and the non-graphic part of the shoe is actually a light tan color, not white.
"Comfy shoes..." 4/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Gravis Makani Racer Womens
  • Pros:  These shoes are really light on your feet, and they are fairly comfortable, too.
  • Cons:  They are really flexible, so they aren't going to give you a whole lot of support, but that is kind of expected from this type of shoe.

Experience:   This shoe is definitely worth $10.
"Decent shoes for $10" 4/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Lawrence Womens
  • Pros:  I like the look of the shoes. I have the brown ones, and they are actually pretty cute. Thats really the best part about them, though.
  • Cons:  The tongue of the shoe is kind of long, so it kind of rubs the top of my foot/bottom of my shin. Also, the sole of the shoe is slightly molded, and it feels weird to me.

Experience:   It the soles of the shoes were more comfortable, they would be pretty awesome shoes, but they just aren't very comfortable.
"Sweet goggles..." 4/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Anon Majestic Leather Mirror Womens
  • Pros:  Fit's well with my RED helmet, great visibility, they never fog up, and they look awesome with the gold lenses.
  • Cons:  The gold mirror lenses are hard to see with on overcast days, but that is what the amber lenses are for.

Experience:   The extra lense is definitely a big plus! It's nice to be able to switch out the lenses for night riding or overcast days. Plus, my husband and I can share them since they are uni-sex.
"Great iron" 4/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Adjustable Tuning Iron 110v
  • Pros:  Stays heated, extremely easy to use, and it's also lightweight.
  • Cons:  None.

Experience:   This iron is great, and works way better than a regular clothes iron. The curved edges are really nice for spreading wax around evenly, and the long cord makes it easy to manuever.
"Sweet sunglasses" 4/15/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Anon Diego
  • Pros:  They look cool.
  • Cons:  The lenses aren't very big, so sometimes the sun shines in your eyes over the top of the lenses or from the sides. They are also rather slim fitting, so if you have a wider face, they probably won't be very comfortable for you.

Experience:   My husband and I share these sunglasses because they are uni-sex. They look excellent on both of us. So you can buy them for your significant other, then steal them back to wear yourself whenever you want!
"Burton Pipe Review" 3/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Pipe
  • Pros:  Good grips, nice padding on the knuckles, and good for warm days.
  • Cons:  Not good for cold days.

Experience:   I bought these for my husband. He likes them because they have good grips for doing grabs, the knuckles are padded so you don't have to worry about hitting them on a rail, and they are really nice on a warm day. They aren't going to keep your hands warm on colder days though, so don't expect that from them.
"Burton Tri Scraper Tool Review" 3/26/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Tri Scraper Tool
  • Pros:  Cheap, three sided for a longer lifespan, works good.
  • Cons:  The triangle shape makes it hard to handle at times. The point digs into my hand sometimes, which sucks.

Experience:   This scraper is definitely worth the price, and it does get the job done. But as I said, the triangle shape makes it awkward at times, and actually kind of hurts if you don't hold it right.
"Decent bindings." 3/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Flow Minx Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I had to mess around with the adjustments on these quite a bit before I got them right, but after I got them set up right, I liked the way they felt. I'm not sure I like them as much as my Burton's, but they are definitely less hassle (after you get everything adjusted correctly). It's very easy to just flip the highback up and down to slip in and out. This is a big plus if you have short runs and are constantly strapping in and out.
"Good pants." 2/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Stow Cargo Print Womens
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Warm, Waterproof
  • Description:  WEATHER: Spring Day, Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, LEG: Baggy, WAIST: Feels true to size, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   I have two pairs of these pants. They are good quality for the price. They keep me warm, and they are super comfortable. They have plenty of pockets too.
"Decent jacket." 2/20/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton 2/1 System Womens
  • Pros:  Breathable, Warm
  • Description:  WEATHER: Spring Day, Cloudy and Cold, CHEST: Feels too big, BODY: Feels true to length, INSEAM: Feels too long,

Experience:   This is a decent jacket. I've worn it for two seasons, until the zipper broke on me last week. It doesn't really repel water that well, I had problems on warmer days when ice would melt off the top of the lift chair and drip down on me, the jacket would soak it up, and then I would get cold. I don't really like to use the inner liner, because the jacket feels a bit bulky with it on, but it is quite a bit warmer if you do use the liner. You can also wear the liner by itselft on spring days, though, which is nice.
"Seriously amazing boots!" 2/20/2009

  • Name: 2009 32 Lashed Womens

  • Pros:  Heel hold, Comfortable, Durable, Good quality, Warm, Breathable, Waterproofing, Easy in & out, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  heel is snug

Experience:   I absolutely LOVE these boots! The response is amazing, and they are incredibly comfortable. My riding has improved immensely since I have switched to these boots.
"Great headphones." 2/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 RED Audex Audio Ear Accessory
  • Pros:  Don't have to worry about them falling out (like earbuds), music quality is good, and the mute button is a great function.
  • Cons:  The cords can be annoying at times, but thats to be expected.

Experience:

"Not very soft..." 2/18/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 RED Impact Short Womens
  • Pros:  There is padding in the tailbone and hip areas...
  • Cons:  The padding isn't very soft.

Experience:   I purchased these last year when I was learning, and though I'm sure they were probably helpful at times, they also hurt at times, because the padding just isn't very soft.
"I Love These Bindings" 2/17/2009

"Love This Bag" 2/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Wheelie Locker
  • Pros:  TONS OF ROOM! The posibilities are endless with this bag!
  • Cons:  If you drive a small car, you might have trouble fitting it in.

Experience:   My husband and I love this bag. We can fit both of our setup's in it no problem, including our boots and pretty much everything else.!
"One Sweet Ride" 2/17/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Stigma Womens
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Well known brand

Experience:   I have bought this board two years in a row. Last year I bought the 152 to learn on, and it helped me step up my game QUICK! So this year, I purchased the 148 for better response, and I almost never leave the park with this board. It takes everything I throw at it, from jumps, to boxes, to rails. If you want to learn the ways of the park, or if you already ride the park and just want to up your game, this board is great for everyone. I definitely recommend it!
