"Great Beginner Board" 12/29/2008
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Cruzer
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Durable, Easy to carve, Popular model, Great value, Well known brand

Experience:   I used this exact model of board last time I rented on a trip. I loved the board then, so I bought it. It's a great beginner to intermediate board at a great price. Burton makes quality stuff. Sierra has the best deals and awesome staff, made the purchase even better.
"Burton Fly Snowboard Pants Women's" 2/26/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Fly Snowboard Pants Women's
  • Pros:  Medium fit was perfect, Keeps you dry and warm, Good price
  • Cons:  More color selection would be nice,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Loose enough to move, but fitted enough to look fashionable for a girl

Experience:   Bought these for the girl, she loves the fit. Not too bulky to look unattractive but loose enough to allow room to move. Obviously they need to function for snowboarding. The quality of Burton is present as usual. Keeps you warm and dry and pretty light on weight. Would recommend for a good value women's pant.
"Burton Merino Phase Socks Men's" 2/26/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 Burton Merino Phase Socks Men's
  • Pros:  Tall enough to go up right under knee, Feet felt dry, Comfortable
  • Cons:  Expensive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fit was just right. Not too tight on my calf.

Experience:   I had been using snowboard sock from years ago that did not have the technology that socks have today. Such as the moisture wicking, materials that keep you warm but also breath, etc. These socks also come up to right below my knee and are not too tight, which is exactly what I was looking for. Being 6'2 and wearing size 13 shoes, the Large was a perfect fit.
"Burton P1.1 Snowboard Bindings" 1/30/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton P1.1 Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Mid-flex all mountain, Great intermediate binding
  • Cons:  Toe strap better on newer burton bindings,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I love these bindings, such an upgrade from the Burton Freestyle entry-level bindings I had been using. The padding makes a much more comfortable ride. The mid flex is good for beginner or intermediate riders. The ratchets are quick for easy on and off and better quality than my Freestyle ones. I got these on sale and a great value for the price. My friend has the Burton Customs and comparing side by side I would choose the P1.1.
"Sierra Logo Snowboard Bag" 1/14/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Sierra Logo Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  Holds all gear, Durable material, Waterproof
  • Cons:  No pockets, No padding,

Experience:   Bag was a gift for spending enough money I think. It serves the purpose of holding all the gear (board with bindings attached, boots, and even pants/coat/etc). I have another bag with a pocket and would be really nice on this one for goggles or small tools to not slide around. No padding but that is expected with this type of bag. All in all, it serves its purpose well.
"Burton Process Flying V" 1/12/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Burton Process Flying V Snowboard
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  All mountain, Good beginner board,

Experience:   Board seems like a good fit for a beginner moving into intermediate level. The quality of Burton boards has always treated me well. This board is great for all mountain riding, very smooth ride. As for style, I like less flashy and this one is more conservative in that aspect which I like. The shape around the ends of this board are narrower than my Burton Cruzer, it would seem in deep powder it might not do as well with less surface area but I don't see much deep powder anyway.
"Spy Zed Snowboard Goggles" 1/12/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Spy Zed Snowboard Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable fit, Stylish, Multiple eye shields
  • Cons:  Honestly, none,

Experience:   Went with the Shiny White Sabbath color. I had some much cheaper goggles with an orange eye shield. These Spy Zed goggles fit my face better and put less pressure on my nose. They also look a lot cooler with the white and reflective lens. The extra shield for darker light conditions just sealed the deal.
"Burton GoreTex Snowboard Gloves" 1/12/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton GoreTex Gloves
  • Pros:  Durable, Warm, Good looks
  • Cons:  Fit of wearing both gloves at once,

Experience:   These gloves are amazing. My old gloves used to get wet and take some time to dry, just old technology. These gloves keep my hands warm, they have proved to be durable thus far, and they are simply stylish. I have large hands (I'm 6'2) and the Large fits perfectly when wearing just the outer glove. If I try to wear the inner gloves (I think that is their intention) inside the outer it does not fit for my size of hands. However, the outer is all you need, my hands have never been cold. I use the inner for driving gloves and they are super grippy. I let my friend try these and he loved them enough to buy them also.
"Snazzy pants!" 1/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Cargo Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Black and gray colors go well with everything, Got compliments on them several times, Fit is comfortable and lightweight
  • Cons:  Sometimes I wish I had plain color pants, Sometimes I wish I didn't have comics on my pants,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  It reminds me of a bootcut jean that is comfortable around all parts of the leg and waist.

Experience:   I normally wear size 33x34 pants. I was nervous if a medium would be long enough or too tight or if I went with large if it would be too big around the waist. The mediums fit perfectly all around the leg, but another inch in length wouldn't hurt. Compliments from random people the first few times out. I like the neutral colors that go with about anything. However, sometimes I wish I had more subtle design to wear in public places other than the slope. Great quality from Burton as usual and the pants were light, kept me dry, and kept me warm in 20 degree weather. But I do wear thin sweatpants underneath. Thanks Sierra for the awesome price too!

Forgot to mention that the pants were the Comic Madness Jacquard color scheme. That helps the "Experience" make more sense.

"Great bag for storage or road trips" 3/19/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Board Sack
  • Pros:  I got 181 camo bag and my board is only 160. I was hesitant at first because the size difference but I'm glad I have the extra room. I can fit my board with bindings attached, size 13 boots, pants, coat, gloves, goggles, and a few tools. Definitely love the bag and can't beat the price Sierra offers on sale.
  • Cons:  Not padded but not a problem at all. For storage or road trips the bag is great... The backpack straps are a great idea. However, being 6' 2" and putting this thing on my back making it through a doorway or any low clearance isn't going to happen. Plus it just looks funny. But carrying it with shoulder strap is more normal anyway.

Experience:   The camo design is definitely cool. I almost went for a black bag but this is way more appealing to the eyes.
"Gravis Data Shoes" 2/6/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Data
  • Pros:  Very bright white and casual. Just what I was wanting for looks. I'm just using for daily wearing.
  • Cons:  A little snug for my liking. I have size 13 which is as big as the Gravis shoes come. It felt as if the width wasn't quite enough... but I have big feet.

Experience:   Great deal on them, no regrets buying them. Nice looking shoes
"First ever pair of Gravis shoes" 1/10/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Gravis Kingpin Leather
  • Pros:  Very comfy and padded. I like the styling, I wear them with khakis for work. Construction seems solid so far. Awesome price with Sierra's sale!
  • Cons:  Maybe just a little snug for my liking, but I usually like a little looseness in my casual shoes. I know Sierra suggested going a half size bigger... but wearing 13's, there was no size bigger.

Experience:   For such a great price during the sale, I didn't care if the shoes were crappy. But Gravis makes some awesome shoes.
"Great Boot, Great Price" 12/29/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Hail
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Easy lacing, Durable, Good quality, Warm, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  average

Experience:   I wondered if I should spend a little more on boots to get better quality but these ended up perfect. Great for beginner to intermediate riders. Very comfortable with plenty of padding. Burton makes quality stuff and Sierra had the awesome sale.
"Coil Lease" 12/29/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Coil Leash
  • Pros:  -Does exactly what it's supposed to. -Coil design allows longer length of lease without it getting in way
  • Cons:  -Didn't know I already had a regular one

Experience:
"Great Budget Binding" 12/29/2008
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Freestyle
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Cons:  Heavy
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   The Burton Freestyles are an awesome buy while discounted 50%. Had to get camoflauge, which isn't my favorite, but people sure notice them more and it's a great-conversation starter. Great quality name-brand at a budget cost. Works great for any beginner that is looking for a cheaper setup. I love em.
