"works... for a little while." 12/4/2012

  • Name: 2011 Dakine XMat Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  grips pretty good, easy to install, cheap
  • Cons:  break kind of fast,

Experience:   This stomp pad is probably one of the most popular ones out. It's very easy to put on your board and is pretty cheap. The only downside is that if you use it a lot the little pegs break off super easily and it basically ends up being useless. I usually ride at least 20 times a year and it usually doesn't last that long ever. If you are just starting out and don't ride very often, this is a perfect little gadget and gets the job done for a good price. If you are looking for one that will last a long time and don't mind putting a few more dollars into it, I would suggest getting one without the little pegs. My recommendation for more frequent riders would be the Dakine Spike Stomp or the Burton Med Spike Mat Stomp Pad. I have the Dakine spike stomp pad and it's amazing.

  • Name: 2012 Mountain Hardwear Versteeg Jacket Cool Moss/Casper
  • Pros:  Super DUPER waterproof, lightweight,
  • Cons:  can get clammy,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Very comfortable and roomy

Experience:   I bought this jacket from REI a while ago and am super pleased with it. I take it everywhere with me. I use it for fishing, hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, as my rain jacket and just about everything in between. It can get clammy but the pit zips are awesome. I like to layer underneath it for colder days. It keeps in heat very well. It has a nice comfy fit. Mine is lime green and is great for Seahawks games!

  • Name: 2010 Foursquare Stevo
  • Pros:  Durable, Warm, Waterproof
  • Cons:  Kind of heavy ,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  A comfy loose fit

Experience:   This jacket has served me well for a couple years and countless trips to the mountain. It has a nice loose fit to it that is very comfortable. I like the soft material on the inside because even if you wear a short sleeve shirt it's pretty comfy. It's a very warm jacket so layering isn't usually necessary. I have worn this jacket a couple times in just strait rain and even though it weighed about 3 more pounds and was soaked on the outside, the inside somehow remained dry. It has a lot of pockets so if you're like me and usually have a lot of crap to haul around, it comes in pretty handy. Altogether it's a pretty decent jacket!

  • Name: 2012 Dakine Heli Pro Backpack Men's
  • Pros:  sweet looking , Comfy, Roomy with pockets
  • Cons:  could be lighter,

Experience:   The Heli Pro was on my wish list for a long time before my wish came true. Now that I have it, I never want to put it down. I have taken it on countless, hiking adventures, mountain trips and even wear it everyday to school. It's very Comfortable and has plenty of room for a 3 inch ring binder and a couple books or a weekends worth of clothes or even a few hiking essentials. I absolutely love this backpack and don't regret in the slightest paying $100 for it. I love having the plethora of pockets and comfortable fit of the Heli Pro. Awesome Pack!

  • Name: 2010 Quiksilver Wintry Snowboard Pants Kid's
  • Pros:  warm , waterproof...ish, cool
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Baggy

Experience:   I bought these pants for my little bro a while ago for his birthday. He's sitting next to me as I ask him these questions for this review. He loves the way they fit and look because he feels like one of the pros in his words. they keep him warm and dry for the most part. We went up in the rain a couple weeks ago and they didn't exactly hold up. Other than that, they fit good if you like a baggy fit. He usually wears a large and I got him a large. They still fit baggy though.

  • Name: 2010 Vans Authentic Skate Shoes Men's
  • Pros:  comfy , steezy, good for almost everything
  • Cons:  get worn out fast,

Experience:   Granted, these shoes are not going to make you fly but they are pretty dang close. I have probably had about 20 pairs of vans and the more worn out they get, the more comfy they are. I have used them as dress shoes, skate shoes, water shoes, fly swatters, and I've even shoe gooed a pair so much that they were snow shoes. I would definitely recommend these shoes to anyone not already rockin a pair.

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Freestyle Snowboard Bag
  • Pros:  light, durable, accessory pocket
  • Cons:  157cm bag fits a 153 board w/ bindings really snug,

Experience:   This bag is pretty descent and will get the job done the right way for normal travel. its nice to have a good durable bag that will keep your board from getting all banged up to and from the mountain. If you're looking for something that will hold your gear in one spot and keep your board safe for a car/bus ride then this will do it. i would suggest getting about a 10cm bigger bag than your board size so that you can fit all your gear in it. works very nicely. I got this bag as a Christmas present and it was 50 buckaroos so buy trusnow!
"Lamar Justice Snowboard Boots - Mens" 1/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Lamar Justice Snowboard Boots - Men's
  • Pros:  warm, water proof,
  • Cons:  super long laces,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  10.5

Experience:   Not the best boots in the world but for the price I got them for they get the job done. Came with extra long laces and kinda gets in the way but it's not that big a deal. Just wrap it around the beck and it's all good. They're pretty durable and last a while. I've had them for more than 2 1/2 years and they're holding up just fine. Not super comfortable but i got a size too big. Best thing to do when getting boots is try them on in a store then buy online for cheap. These boots are just fine for the price.

  • Name: 2010 Bonfire Piper Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  super water proof, warm , comfortable
  • Cons:  no mp3 pocket, pit zips can get irritating with a short sleeve ,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  very form fitting. nice tailored fit.

Experience:   I love this jacket! I've had a lot of complements on it everywhere I go. It looks sick and fits like a glove. It's pretty form fitting and looks great. really waterproof and warm. I would strongly suggest this jacket to anyone for cruising around town or snowboarding. Awesome jacket, and thanks to trusnow for the steal of a deal.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Pilot
  • Pros:  light and durable , comfortable to wear, good size
  • Cons:  not enough pockets for small things,

Experience:   This is an awesome backpack. I got the olive color. It's pretty light and very comfortable to wear. there's 2 big pockets that could easily fit a change of clothes, a few school books or anything else like that. It's well padded on the back for comfort. It has a water resistant pocket in side the front pocket to put valuables in, such as a wallet or cell phone. Very durable and feels great when walking around. Doesn't hinder maneuverability at all. I would definitely recommend for snowboarding or school or overnight pack.it has a lot of clips and such for carrying skies. There aren't very many pockets for school or small things though and if you have more than 1 book and a 3in binder it'll get a bit tight. Altogether a sick pack though and it works.

  • Name: 2010 Smith I/O
  • Pros:  Super good visibility, don't fog from the inside, coolest looking goggles ever!

So many people have commented me on them. It's really easy to switch lenses and the lens that comes with it is amazing. It comes with an extra lens and a hard case for the goggles. Super sweet!

Experience:   These are ok bindings but i guess for $50 you can't go wrong. the bar code on one of the straps is kinda dumb but just cover it with sharpie and you'r all good. they were definitely harder to install than normal bindings. I'm not sure if it's the binding or my boot but the end part of the binding is too wide, but over all there not bad as far as performance.
