"Ehhh so so" 11/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Foursquare Q Le Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  pockets, breathability,
  • Cons:  a bit too tight, the color is different than on the site,
  • Pant Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  it is tigher than I am used to

Experience:   I bought these pants when they were on sale. I was a bit dissapointed in the fit and the color. The color I saw was more plaid but when I got it it was much more orange. Also I am used to wearing really baggy pants and I felt like these were too tight for my tastes.
"Great Women's Binding" 11/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Lexa Snowboard Bindings - Women's
  • Pros:  comfortable straps, well made, adjustability
  • Cons:  none,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I bought these for my gf and she really finds them to much better than the Stilletos she had before. The straps are very comfortable and easy to strap in. So far everything works as it should and she finds the response to be just perfect for a beginner to intermediate.
"Tank of a Glove" 11/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Gore Mittens
  • Pros:  very waterproof, looks stylish, keeps hands very warm
  • Cons:  none,

Experience:   I bought these for my gf and since she is a beginner she spends most of her time getting up. These mittens have kept her very dry and warm. She usually complains that her hands get cold, but never since she has worn these.
"Baggy Pants - Loves it" 11/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Field Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Lots of pockets, Durable, Roomy
  • Cons:  heavy,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Baggy and roomy

Experience:   I got these last year from Sierra and I love them. They fit with tons of room so I have no issues strapping in and sitting down. They also look cool in bright white. The only thing I don't like is that they feel very heavy.
"Very Nice Goggles" 11/14/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Smith Phenom
  • Pros:  Fog Free, Extra Clear Lens, Durable
  • Cons:  Don't fit my nose, Made for a bigger face,

Experience:   I got these a while ago and I still use them because of the mirrored lenses. They still work great. No fog at all and has withstood a couple handwashings with dishwashing soap. They are still soft and don't pinch anywhere. The only thing I didn't realize was that they would not fit my nose correctly. I have a medium face and a small nose bridge and there is alway a gap there.
"Apres Pant" 11/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Apres
  • Pros:  Baggy, Design, Pockets
  • Cons:  Inner Shorts,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Loose and baggy

Experience:   Not much to say except that I got the pants due to the pattern. I do love the pockets and the warmth and the breathability of the pants, but I find this is similar to almost any other pant on the market today. I like that it is baggy and I don't feel constricted due to the legs. I really didn't like that there are shorts inside the pants which I will probably never use but if I ever do, I will think about how smart it was I got them. Very impractical and a bit binding when I get in the pants.
"Good Binding" 11/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton C60
  • Pros:  Well Built, Lots of Padding, Straps are soft
  • Flex:  stiff

Experience:   The bindings are great if you are looking to Freeride. They do not pinch at all but I found my toes beginning to get sore and lose feeling due to the stiffness of the binding. I rode it was a GNU Riders Choice and it seemed to deaden the board too much for my tastes. I prefer to feel more of the board and this binding did not do that for me. I think that they work great for carving up the mountain but for my skill level and what I would like to do with the board, it is a bit too much.
"Roxy Youth Jacket" 2/17/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Pros:  Style,
  • Cons:  size is larger than thought,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  XS
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  long sleeves but tight body

Experience:   Love the styling and it seems to be very warm. No complaints on how cold it is out.

"All Mountain board" 2/23/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Gnu Riders Choice BTX Wide Second
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,Powder
  • Pros:  Durable, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Great value, Popular on mountain, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Heavy, Top sheet scratches

Experience:   I am very happy with this board. I bought it to use more as a trick board and it hasn't dissapointed. It holds the edge well with the magne traction and it allows me to use a smaller board. Previously I felt unstable and unsafe with the same size board from other companies because of the chatter I would get when I stop really fast. No such issues with this board. Also, the banana let s me spin without taking huge spills due to catching an edge. I feel like I have improved dramatically just due to this board. The only downside I can think of is that it is a bit heavy.
"Great 2009 movie" 2/15/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Mack Dawg Double Decade
  • Pros:  Good story line and the commentary from all the riders. Love the consensus part where they pick their favorite riders. Not a bad history of snowboarding.
  • Cons:  Soundtrack is not that great. Lots of older footage.

Experience:
"One of the best movies this year" 2/15/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Travis Rice and Quiksilver Thats it Thats All
  • Pros:  Love the big mountain riding and the story line of following around Travis. He really rips up the hill. The sound track is also amazing.
  • Cons:  Not much. Wish they had it in blue ray.

Experience:
"Pro Tec Helmet" 2/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Pro-tec Ace Freecarve
  • Pros:  No frills kind of helmet that makes you head feel more like a beanie than in a vice. The air vents allow you to regulate the amount of air cooling your head.
  • Cons:  The ear pieces allow air to blow in if the wind is coming from the side hard. The plastic piece that holds the ear piece gets bent a lot so mine is cracking and breaking off.

Experience:
"Wrist Gaurds" 2/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Pro-tec IPS Wrist Guard
  • Pros:  Lightweight and great for beginner snowboarders. Cheap but does its job.
  • Cons:  I don't wear them anymore now that I have gotten better and remember not to fall on my wrists.

Experience:
"Knee Guard will save your life" 2/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Pro-tec IPS Knee Guard
  • Pros:  Slightly cupped to hold in your knee, low price, and pretty good padding.
  • Cons:  If you forget to put them on before your boots...SOL.

Experience:   I used to use roller blade knee pads with plastic on the front and thinner padding until I fell on my knee really hard and bruised the crap out of it. These pads work much better and I feel confident again.
"Pro-tec Impact Shorts" 2/11/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Pro-tec Hip Pad
  • Pros:  Light weight, unobtrusive, snug fit so it doesn't move around, protects well.
  • Cons:  The mesh rips pretty easily, I had to sew mine back together. On really hard falls you still feel it.

Experience:   For the money they are great and not nearly as bulky as some of the other impact shorts I have worn.
"Smith Gambler Youth Goggles" 2/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Smith Gambler Youth
  • Pros:  Does its job. Not really a performance goggle but they work.
  • Cons:  Nothing for the price. It fogs a bit but these were for my niece and it is all she needs

Experience:
"TMS" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Ride Timeless
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Powder
  • Pros:  Durable, Easy to carve, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Strong edgehold, Stiff, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Too stiff, Heavy

Experience:   This board is a freeriding machine. It does really well at fast speeds and will hold an edge with the utmost confidence. There is very little chatter and will cut through ice like it is its job. What I don't like about it is that I cannot freestyle on it. I had it on a 6ft powder day and the set back made it feel like I was riding on a cloud but I cannot take this board into the park.
"malamute" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Salomon Malamute
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Heel hold, Easy lacing, Durable, Traction, Good quality, Warm, Waterproofing, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Cons:  Difficult in & out
  • Fit:  heel is snug

Experience:   I loved these boots for straight freeriding and speed, but as soon as I started trying to spin I had some issues with the heel rubbing. It got so bad that I had an open sore on my heel after one day. It is a stiff boot and it really depends on what you want to use it for but it made it really uncomfortable to freestyle ride in it.
"Great binding" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Salomon Relay Pro
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Heavy, Poor adjustability
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   This binding is great with the "move with the ankle" hi-back. In case you don't know, the whole hi back moves with your legs and in essence is supposed to keep your legs from fatiguing. I find that at the end of the day, when I am tired, I don't have as much fatigue. I have always loved Salomon binding because I don't ever have to adjust them or tighten them besides the base. But some people might find that annoying. The only thing I didn't like about the 07 ones were that the toe strap wouldn't always go into the little pocket it was supposed to but after seeing the next years model, it looks like they fixed that issue. If you want a binding that is bomb proof and requires very little fuss, this is your binding.
"Burton Chicklet" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Chicklet Youth
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Durable, Great value, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Heavy

Experience:   I bought this board as a starter board for my 7 year old niece and I have been teaching her on it. She loves the graphics and seems to have control over it. This board is not for high performance and to expect it to be would be ridiculous. It is a kids board and you get what you pay for. You can't beat the price and the warranty that comes with it.
"Burton Jr" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 Burton Freestyle Jr. Youth
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Durable, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Heavy
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I bought these bindings for my niece and they seem to work great. She hasn't complained about the fit and it looks like she has control of the board. It is a great and cheap way to get your kid on a board. A foot that small will not need much more than that.
"Tune Tool" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton AL-1 Tool
  • Pros:  It has every tool you will need on the hill to adjust your set up and it looks pretty cool.
  • Cons:  It is tiny and a bit cumbersome to turn more than one revolution. Also it is really bad if you fall on it.

Experience:
"Ruler" 2/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Ruler
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Pros:  Heel hold, Comfortable, Easy lacing, Warm, Waterproofing, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Cons:  Difficult in & out
  • Fit:  soft

Experience:   I have had Northwaves and Salomons before I got my Rulers and I will never go back. Boots are tricky because it really depends on your feet and what you like but I am 6ft, 210lbs and I wanted to be able to do more with my set up besides freeride. These boots are supportive yet soft enough to let you do more tricks. I have found that with a really stiff set up, there is not enough ankle support. When I was freeriding really fast, a couple bumps made my ankle feel like it was breaking. I am over riding for speed so these are the perfect boots for my style of riding right now. Futhermore, the fast lace system is amazing and I will never go back to regular ties.
