"Union has great customer service" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Union Cadet DLX
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I really liked these bindings. One of the straps started wearing out and Union gladly shipped a new pair no questions asked.
"Girlfriend not satisfied" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Profile Womens
  • Pros:  Inexpensive compared to other snowboarding gloves
  • Cons:  My girlfriend kept complaining about her hands/fingers getting cold, which would ultimately force us to take a 'thawing' break at the chalet.

Experience:   She has started using an inner liner glove that she had lying around to help with the cold. It does help, but she is still in the market for new gloves....when she has the $$$ for them
"Cheap/Good Wax" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Nitrous Cold Wax 6oz
  • Pros:  Inexpensive

Experience:   I'm not into snowboarding for the speed, so I cannot give too much information about how effective the wax is, but it does get the job if you want to be in the routine of waxing your board for its own health.
"Awesome, Versatile Jacket" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton AK 2L Jussi Anorak
  • Pros:  Breathable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof
  • Cons:  Wears Out Quickly
  • Description:  CHEST: Feels too big, BODY: Feels too long, INSEAM: Feels too long,

Experience:   Awesome looking jacket that has the tech to back it up. Because it's just the shell, this jacket is versatile. It can be used on warm(er) days with just light layers underneath, or you can throw in a fleece along with some base layers for the blistering cold days. It is team fit, so expect a jacket that runs a bit longer/bigger than the rest of them. Normally, I wear a Medium for shirts, sweaters, and jackets (ie. north face rain coat, etc), but I got a small for this jacket and it fits me perfectly. Baggy enough to be deemed a snowboarding jacket which allows for extra layering, but not too big. One issue that I ran into though was the inner liner by the cuff of my sleeve started fraying because it rubbed the wrong way against the velcro of my glove. It hasn't worsened, and I do plan on sending it back to Burton for them to fix it and make use of the lifetime warranty eventually.
"Awesome Helmet, Awesome Price" 3/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 RED Trace
  • Pros:  This helmet fits nicely on my head, and is shaped perfectly to go with my anon goggles. Given how much cheaper it is compared to other helmets, this is a great buy.
  • Cons:  None

Experience:   I haven't had a chance to test it's main function (protect my head) yet...*knock on wood*...but it feels as if it would do the job. Doesn't look or feel cheap.
"Decent" 3/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Tribute
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Durable, Traction, Good quality, Warm, Breathable, Waterproofing, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Uncomfortable
  • Fit:  average

Experience:   I am having mysterious footpain with this boot. I don't get much heel lift, but I do feel some pressure point at the top of my foot by the anklestrap. They are cheap and a decent pair of entry-level boots
"Awesomeness" 2/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Union Data
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Poor adjustability
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Overall: Solid pair of bindings. They are holding up very well and there isn't any sign of deteriorating quality. I do have a problem having the front strap act as a toe-cap strap and there isn't a way to adjust it nicely for it to perform properly around my boots.
"Good Enough" 2/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Poacher
  • Pros:  Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof
  • Description:  LEG: Relaxed, WAIST: Feels true to size, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   It has enough pockets...it's waterproof for snow, but when it comes to rain, it might be lacking (as expected) It is getting a bit worn at the bottom, but that's because I got a size too large and drag my feet. For the price, i'm more than satisfied
"Sweet Board" 2/12/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Forum Seeker
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,Jumps
  • Pros:  Durable, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Great value, Stiff
  • Cons:  Too stiff

Experience:   This board is great. It is stable on the groomers and has nice pop. It is stiff enough for big air, but too stiff to butter around.
