"Not much else to say" 6/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2010 Capita Sierrascope FK
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  super fun and poppy, good all-around, sweet graphics
  • Cons:  none that i could find,

Experience:   There's not much else to say that hasn't already been said about this board. It's really fun and great anywhere on the mountain. Go with a shorter board for a softer feel or a larger one for a stiffer feel. I'm 5'8 165 lbs and I went with a 156. The main thing that I can add to the reviews is that I went from a Skate Banana to this board. This board blew the Skate Banana off the mountain. Compared to the SB, this board has more pop and is 100x more fun. The SB felt too damp and heavy to me, but the Sierrascope feels light, fresh, and smooth. Perfect all-mountain board.
"Awesome Board Bag" 3/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Board Sack
  • Pros:  Spacey, durable, looks great.
  • Cons:  Not for the plane if you're planning to fly with your gear.

Experience:   This bag looks great and holds everything you need. I wouldn't take it on the plane though. Get something with more padding for that. The pocket on the front is big enough to hold a couple items such as your gloves/mittens and beanie, maybe even your goggles.
"Excellent bindings" 2/6/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Doom LTD
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Just tested these out and I love them already. Better than any other bindings that I've tried. Great bindings to begin and progress on. Looks cool too.
"Anon Hawkeye" 2/16/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Anon Hawkeye Painted
  • Pros:  Cool look, Wide range of view, No fogging

Experience:   These goggles are great! I would put them in the realm of VZ Feenoms, Electric EG2's and Oakley Crowbars. They rarely fog up and they look awesome. The only thing that worries me is that the foam stick outside of the frame a little. It seems like it might be susceptible to more wear and tear because of it. Overall, the goggle are a great buy though.
"Banana in your mouf" 1/21/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,Off Trail,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  No edge catching, Light, Good in icy conditions

Experience:   This is my second board. My first board was the 09 Sierra Crew. I wanted to try this board because of the BTX and the MTX edge hold. After riding it a few times I can honestly say I love this board. There were multiple times where I normally would have wiped out, but on the Banana I was able to regain control easily. Being in the Midwest, riding on ice becomes a common thing in the spring. The MTX will definitely help with this. Transferring edge-to-edge on this board is very easy. It feels much easier than a traditional cambered board, with makes it great for beginners. This board has helped me progress a ton this season on just a few days of riding. The only downside to this board is that it has less pop than a traditional cambered board.
"North Face Tka 100 Spearhead Full Zip Fleece Jacket 2010" 1/13/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 North Face Tka 100 Spearhead Full Zip
  • Pros:  Very warm, Soft and comfy, Good fit
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Thanks to GUTH's advice, I got a large. The fit is slightly large. Size L is perfect for me at 5'8.

Experience:   This fleece is very warm. I am able to go outside for short periods of time with this during very cold days and stay perfectly warm. The hood is really nice. It fits snug to my head to trap the heat inside. Very soft and very warm. Can't go wrong there.
"Excellent Bindings" 7/22/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Triad
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are the best I've had so far. They are lightweight and VERY comfortable. It almost feels like they're not even there. They look great and feel great. Even better, they ride great! These bindings are top notch. I actually prefer these over the Union Forces that I used to have. It's more of just a personal feel, but I still think they are better. While these bindings can be used in the park and perform well, I would say they excel in the all mountain area. You really can't go wrong in getting these bindings.
"Awesome Jacket" 6/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 686 Smarty Uzi
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Warm, Waterproof

Experience:   This jacket is great. Not only does it look great, but it feels great too. On the super cold days you would probably want a layer or two underneath, but it's great by itself for any other day. The vents make it great for spring and it's waterproofing is excellent. Tons of pockets too! This product is great for anyone looking for a high quality jacket.
"Great helmet - good fit" 4/29/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 RED Trace
  • Pros:  This helmet looks good and feels great. It's very light, so it won't mess with your balance. I have the black crows version and the graphics look awesome. The vent plugs for the front vents are nice for those really cold days so you don't get a headache. The ear pads are easily removable and the goggle gasket fills the gap between your goggles and your helmet if you need it. Overall the helmet fits great and feels great. Other than everything I just said, it obviously protects your head, so that's always a plus.
  • Cons:  Not as low-profile as I had hoped, but still looks good on your head.

Experience:   Since it doubles as a skate helmet, I'll be using it in the summer time so it's basically two helmets in one if you're a skater too.
"Von Zipper Feenoms" 4/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Von Zipper Feenom
  • Pros:  Excellent field of vision, great look, great fit, no fogging, fits decently with helmet.
  • Cons:  Not for small faces, make sure they fit your face before buying them.

Experience:   These goggles, in my opinion, are unmatched by any other goggle on the market today. Electric EG2's come in a close second, but I think the Feenoms are the best. They look awesome, perform awesome, and are just all around excellent goggles. Probably the best thing about the Feenoms is the vision quality. The lens is very large, so you will never have problems with peripheral and downward view. See my in-depth review of VZ Feenoms vs. Electric EG2's for more information: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=25767
"Nothing Spectacular" 3/31/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Phase
  • Pros:  There is a little bit of padding. I've noticed that my shins are little less sore when I wear these. They are nice and warm too. Also, they don't slide down your leg or bunch up in your boot.
  • Cons:  They really aren't much different from a regular long sock. Also, they aren't as breathable as you might think. I still sweated in them, even in really cold conditions.

Experience:   Just get regular long socks if you're thinking of getting these. The padding isn't anything special and they're just as warm as regular socks.
"Use the Force young padawan!" 3/5/2009

  • Name: 2009 Union Force
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   These bindings are AWESOME! You really can't go wrong with these. They look great, feel great, and perform great. Their durability is excellent too. Definitely worth the buy.
"Burton Baker Review" 3/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Baker
  • Pros:  Warm, durable, comfortable.
  • Cons:  Not as good as the Gore Tex.

Experience:   These mittens are great mittens. If you're looking for an awesome cheap pair of mittens, get these. They're warmth, durability, and comfort are excellent. They are not quite as good as the Gore Tex, but that's why they're cheaper. I have these for warmer days and the Gore Tex for those frigid days. It's also nice to have 2 pairs in case it's a really wet day, so you can change them mid-way through the day.
"Gore Tex Under" 3/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Gore Tex Under
  • Pros:  Amazing warmth, comfort, dryness, and durability.
  • Cons:  Slightly difficult getting into.

Experience:   These mittens are an excellent buy. They're warmth, comfort, and dryness are unmatched when it comes to mittens. Also, they're durability is top notch. The only problem I had with them is that they can be difficult to get into since the wrist part is so tight. I guess the good thing about that is that snow will never get into them. These mittens look great, feel great, and have a pouch for hand warmers! You can't go wrong with these. Especially when they're on sale!
"Ribbons & Gold/Gold Chrome Dojo" 3/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Von Zipper Dojo
  • Pros:  Very comfortable, Awesome fit, Looks great, Easily adjusted, Fits well with helmet, Excellent visibility.
  • Cons:  None.

Experience:   These goggles not only look sweet, they feel very comfortable. The strap is easily adjustable, and the lens is reflective and helps on sunny days. Visibility is awesome and there are no problems with not being able to see. These goggles also fit great with helmets.
"R.E.D. Hi-Fi" 3/5/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 RED Hi-Fi
  • Pros:  Very lightweight, comfortable, protects your head.
  • Cons:  A little bulky

Experience:   This helmet is ridiculously light. When i took it out of the box I was surprised how light it was. The only thing I don't really like about it is that it's a little more bulky on my head than I like, but it'll save my head when I fall so that's not a big problem. One the that the picture doesn't show, is that on the plain black helmet, there is a pretty cool graphic on the back. the graphic is also black, but I thought it was pretty cool.
"decent at best" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Nitro T2 Glove
  • Pros:  they cover my hands.
  • Cons:  they're $450,000.

Experience:   i'm rich so i can afford these.
"good board" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Sierra Crew
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Carving
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Strong edgehold, Great value

Experience:   i finally got a chance to ride this board since conditions have been crappy in wisconsin. i loved it immediately. as my first board, it was better than anything i've tried so far. i was finally able to carve with this board on my feet. the flex is not too stiff and not too soft so it's good for beginners like me. it also has a pretty good amount of pop. with the great value, you can;t go wrong with this board.
"Comfortable and Light" 2/6/2009
