"It's ok" 3/4/2009

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Cool Lock
  • Pros:  Easy to use, set combination. Does the job for a quick locking.
  • Cons:  Not very strong, cable kinda sucks once you snap locked. It shouldn't be able to loosen up but rather it should always try to pull tight when locked, but it doesn't and seems pretty stupid.

  • Name: 2009 Smith Variant
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Slick looking, Warm, Great Ventilation controls. Got mine in army green and looks awesome on the slopes. Indeed fits really well with Smith goggles too.
  • Cons:  Yeah, expensive, though worth it.

Experience:   Mine is a medium and has a pretty large size range. I don't have a big head, but thought that i'd never be able to fit a medium. I was pleasantly surprised that it fit perfectly.

  • Name: 2009 Flow M11
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Good construction quality, Lightweight, Comfortable, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I just tried these out for the first time this weekend and i think i want to marry them. They were ridiculously easy to get in and out as well as adjust when i needed. I consider myself pretty flexible and i didn't have a hard time strapping in while standing at all. It takes a little bit to get used to, but it's great not to have to fidget on the ground if you don't want to. I know all Flow bindings are going to be like this, and people seem split 50/50 on whether or not they like it...but i'm one that certainly does. The install for these took seconds, adjustment is very easy with a nice gauge on the back for the easy ratchet control so you can really get measured idea of how loose/tight you're making it. I have XL bindings and they fit just fine on an '08 capita stairmaster, and should fit my 09 burton wide deuce just fine when it arrives. Ohh...and not having to be strapped in when in line at the chair lift is pretty nice...no more shuffling along since it only takes around 10 seconds to strap in. On the way up I was even able to get my back foot in the binding well enough to get me off the lift without needing a stomp pad. :D

  • Name: 2009 Vans Cirro
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Easy lacing, Durable, Traction, Good quality, Warm, Waterproofing, Easy in & out
  • Fit:  stiff

Experience:   I took these out for the first time this past weekend and WoW! They were fantastic! Kept my ankle pretty stiff and they were really comfortable. They're a bit heavy but that's ok since i'm a new rider and probably won't notice the difference for a while. The dual BOA system is fantastic. So easy to pop your foot in and tighten up, it's almost laughable when i think of lacing. It's really a great snug fit all around my foot because of the zones the BOA can effect. I'm giving 4 stars because of the price...if they were more affordable they'd be an easy 5 stars. I'm a very happy owner though :D
"Love these pants" 2/6/2009

  • Name: 2009 Burton Cargo
  • Pros:  Breathable, Durable, Waterproof
  • Description:  WEATHER: Spring Day, Blue Bird Powder Day, Cloudy and Cold, LEG: Relaxed, WAIST: Feels true to size, INSEAM: Feels true to length,

Experience:   I Love these pants! They look good, have great pockets, and are pretty damn comfortable. I don't think they'd go over well at board meetings else I would wear these pants every day of the week.
