"They Work! but keep them dry!" 3/3/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Rome The Sanchez Glove
  • Pros:  Great design and grip Warm (when kept dry)
  • Cons:  When they get soaked, dry them out!

Experience:   I bought these gloves while looking for warmer gloves, and they have worked well as far as being warm. But when I got them wet from snow, they soaked in the water. They took forever to dry and once I made the mistake of leaving them in the car overnight until the next day to ride again. They were still wet when I took them out! It wasn't really a cold night so I thought they would dry out, I was wrong though. I'll probably go with a different glove next time around because I'd like a glove that either dries out better or has better waterproofing.

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Clutch
  • Pros:  Works well even covered in snow
  • Cons:  none

Experience:   I used to own this older DAKINE stomp pad that looked like a cup holder and really liked it. Couldn't find it when I got a new board but found the Clutch. Clutch works well and is a good replacement for the old cup holder looking DAKINE stomp pad.. JUST BUY IT ALREADY!
"Light & Comfortable Boots" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 32 Lashed
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Heel hold, Easy lacing, Traction, Well known brand
  • Fit:  heel is snug

Experience:   I bought these after my old school (probably 2003/4 32 Prions) boots were beat to hell. I really liked the simple but popular design, but what really got me was the weight of the boots. These boots were very light when compared to other boots. The inner lining molded to my feet quickly as I broke them in while walking around the house doing laundry. Once molded they fit like a glove and I was able to keep them on for hours without my feet going numb. I've heard of 32's breaking down and deteriorating quickly, but mine have held up quite well this season with about 10 full days of riding and they still look brand new. Lastly the traction is very good compared to my old boots. Overall, I would recommend these boots to anyone who wants a light boot that is also comfortable enough to wear all day long, even if you aren't snowboarding.
"Forum The Hundreds LTD Review" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Forum The Hundreds LTD
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  lightweight, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Popular model, Great value, Soft, Well known brand
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches

Experience:   After owning a 2005 Forum Destroyer, I liked the board and was interested in seeing how the board has progressed over the years. This year Forum and THE HUNDREDS collaborated making this limited edition board that we released mid season. The Forum x THE HUNDREDS snowboard is based off a 2009 Forum Destroyer but with more flex and a different design top and bottom. I noticed immediately that this board was much more flexible than the board I used to have and I also thought that it was a small bit more flexible than the Forum Youngblood that I test flexed in the store. I liked that the board was making it really easy for manuals and poppy for jumping obstacles. The board was much lighter than my previous Destroyer but that is probably due to its age and new technology for snowboards. The design is subtle yet eye catching when you see THE HUNDREDS atom bomb logo on both the tail and nose. I received many complements throughout a weekend about the board. The bad is that I'm really anal about scratches and the top sheet is so beautiful but it scratched slightly easily. After 2 full days of riding there wasn't many scratches but I noticed it when looking closely. Overall: this board is awesome, I like that its limited edition and less people on the mountain will have it. I like THE HUNDREDS and FORUM so I really lucked out with buying this board. If I could buy another, I would! but they are all SOLD OUT....
"Average" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Burton Custom
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  Easy in & out, Well known brand, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Boot slippage
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   I got these as a gift and was definitely grateful. After riding for a full season on these, I felt like they were pushing me forward even with the highback set to the lowest position. I think these have a lot of forward lean. These bindings work great, but maybe I expected more from them. I've noticed the plastic that goes into the ratcheting device wears fast and frequently popped out and made the boot loose midway down the mountain. Overall: I think they are average but if you are spending this much for bindings you may want to consider saving a little more and going for cartels or something else along that line.
"Dependable & Stylish" 2/24/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2007 Anon Figment Emblem Mirror
  • Pros:  Graphic Design (Plaid Print) Deep chocolate color is beautiful to look at (Frame) Vents well If it fogs (due to me accidentally wiping off the anti-fog), it clears out quickly
  • Cons:  n/a

Experience:   I have these goggles in a brown frame with brown plaid print and a either a black iridum or brown mirror lens. These goggles have a dual layer lens that is great for medium to bright light and have a good venting system for fighting against fogging. These are my first pair of goggles so I have nothing to compare them to. Overall: I am very satisfied with this purchase and do not regret buying these at all.
