"Blue Lagoon Lens is Great" 1/19/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Anon Figment Printed Snowboard Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Great low-light lens,
  • Cons:  Fogs up sometimes,

Experience:   I finally bit the bullet and bought a second pair of goggles for flat light conditions. It just makes sense considering I only ride in bright sunshine about 10% of the time. The blue lagoon lens is great for less than stellar days. You can see so much contrast, but the mirror still helps if the sun comes out a bit. Great buy if you are realistic about what conditions you ride in.
"More comfortable than just a hat" 10/3/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Red Hi Fi Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Removable Earpieces, Great fit with Anon goggles (obviously)

Experience:   This helmet weighs next to nothing, and is really comfortable. The earpieces actually made my ears too warm most days, so I just took them off and wear a hat underneath. A lot of helmets don't have this option. I have only ridden a few times without a helmet since I bought this, and it's not as comfortable, so now I just wear it no matter what.
"Plenty of space" 9/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Metalhead Backpack Men's
  • Pros:  waterproof, plenty of pockets, cooler

Experience:   I use this bag a lot. It has a bunch of different pockets, and the cooler is a nice touch. Board straps on nicely, too. I can't say I would recommend paying full price for it, but I say that about a lot of stuff. Just wait for it to go on sale.
"Good back for the money" 8/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Board Sack Snowboard Bag Men's
  • Pros:  Can fit most gear in with board, Inexpensive,
  • Cons:  Eventually you will get small tears, Not padded,

Experience:   I have taken this bag out West about 10 times, and it has held up pretty well. It is big enough to put in my boots, bindings, jacket, pants, helmet, etc without any trouble which leaves a lot more room in my luggage. I do have a few rips in the fabric at this point, but nothing too big. And the bag isn't padded, but I don't know how much padding would really help anyway. Overall it gets the job done, so if you're on a budget, go for it.
"Don't do it" 5/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Inexpensive,
  • Cons:  No support, Uncomfortable,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  11.5
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   I know these are cheap, and you're just getting into snowboarding, but DO NOT BUY THESE. You are going to get better and immediately figure out that you hate them and need to upgrade. Save yourself the money and just get something nicer. They have no support and they make your feet hurt. That's the last thing you need when you're learning.
"Nice fit & warm" 4/27/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Logo Horizontal Fullzip Hoodie Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Great fit, Stylish
  • Cons:  A bit expensive,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Perfect fit. Plenty of room, but it doesn't hang off you.

Experience:   I got the 2010 version of this sweatshirt at a Burton outlet for half price. I just can't justify paying almost $50 for a sweatshirt, but I love mine. Highly recommended, especially if you can find it on sale.
"Warm Jacket" 3/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton AK 2L Turbine Snowboard Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Waterproof, Breathable
  • Cons:  Runs really big, Somewhat heavy,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  Huge

Experience:   I love this jacket, but I had to return the first one I got because it runs so big. I made the mistake of getting an XL, and it was like a dress. A 400-pound man could wear the XL. I jumped down to the large and had to get a different color, but it's a great jacket for cold conditions. I still wear a thinner jacket when it warms up a bit. Not an everyday jacket really.
"Great Bindings" 1/31/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Cartel Snowboard Bindings Men's
  • Pros:  Snug fit with Burton Boots, Stiff but not too stiff, Durable straps
  • Cons:  None,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I upgraded to these from some older Burton Missions, and these are a big improvement. The straps are much more comfortable, and the adjustability is simpler. They fit my boots better, so there is virtually no slipping once you're locked in. I also got a great deal on them, so that helps.
"Functional and Stylish" 1/26/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Anon Realm Emblem Snowboard Goggles - Men's
  • Pros:  Broad range of vision, Stylish but not excessive,
  • Cons:  Possible fogging issue,

Experience:   I got these with a red solex mirror lens about a month ago. They are great on sunny days and reasonable in flat light. The one issue I had was that after a wet day on the mountain, I left them in their bag, and the next day whenever I put them on, fog would develop between the lenses to the point that I couldn't see anything. I had to buy a cheap pair of goggles at the shop just to get through the day. I aired them out, and they were fine the following day. That's the only bad day I've had with them.
"Seriously Comfortable Park Boot" 1/4/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Hail
  • Pros:  As comfortable as sneakers, Plenty of flex,
  • Cons:  Traditional Lacing System,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   These boots are comfortable right out of the box, and provide support without feeling stiff. Great boot for riding park, but also solid all over the mountain. You can ride all day without your feet getting wet or sore.
