"Burton BDR" 11/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 DC BDR Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Off Trail,Park,Powder
  • Pros:  Stable in powder and high speed, Floats in powder, Excellent control
  • Cons:  Feels unstable at very low speeds, Foreign feeling on very flat surfaces such as boxe,

Experience:   The boyfriend started riding this board last season. The profile of the board is very D shaped - so its got a very flat center, with both ends lifting well up. It made for floating in powder a breeze, switch riding a breeze, and super stable at high speeds. However, with such a flat center at the board, it tends to track and stick at low speeds, and feels odd doing presses on boxes.
"Burton Escapades - sz small" 11/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Escapade Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Super light, Lots of cushion, Great adjustability
  • Cons:  They sell out too quick :),
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Love these bindings! With a size 6, the small bindings are pretty much at their shoe fitting limit - but a snug and perfect fit really meant great control on the mountains. They're light, they're soft, and really forgiving - makes long days on the mountain a breeze. You'll get excellent control and it's money well spent on these bindings. They're look pretty much like the Burton CO2 bindings, but for women. The ICS channel technology with these bindings makes for very easy and quick adjustability as well!
"Burton Freedom Jacket, sz small" 11/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Freedom Softshell Jacket
  • Pros:  Blocks wind, perfect for sunny/chilly days, Easy care for wash& dry
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Fits perfect over t-shirt or a thermal

Experience:   I've managed to tough out super cold days ice climbing or snowboarding in this jacket, as long as I'm wearing some cold gear underneath - it cuts away the bulk of a traditional snowboarding jacket at the expense of a little warmth. It also works well just for day to day use on colder mornings and rainy days. I've worn mine out and I'm ready for another!
"RED Hi-Fi Helmet Sz Small" 11/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2006 RED HiFi Snowboard Helmet Men's
  • Pros:  Great padding for your noggin, Fits well overall, Lightweight
  • Cons:  n/a,

Experience:   Love this helmet. The design wraps around your head thoroughly, and has saved me from a couple collisions that helped prevent some serious concussions.
"Burton Mint sz 6 - entry level" 11/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Mint Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Cheap, Keeps your feet warm, Lightweight
  • Cons:  Tough to keep the boot tightened,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  6
  • Boot Size:  6

Experience:   I've officially retired these boots of mine last year. They're great for entry level, with a lower price compared to other models - but as you step up your game, these are something you want to move away from. There's too much flex to get you that quick response on your board, and the lacing breaks loose often so that you have to retie. Works best lining your foot up toe to toe with a partner and having them yank on your laces - otherwise your foot will be able to slip right out of the boot by your second run =P
"Ride Fever 144" 11/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Ride Fever Snowboard Women's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Low Speeds
  • Pros:  Slime Walls grab icy slopes well, Super flexy, soft, Very easy to control
  • Cons:  Sucks in powder, Not the most stable at high speeds,

Experience:   This was my 4th board that I owned, and it's also my most well traveled board. If the sky's been clear for a good week, and the conditions are a bit icy, this one will do the trick better than any Rocker technology for me. The Slime Walls give great bite, and the soft core flexs for quick and sharp carving. Too soft and too tapered for any kind of thick powder or off trailing - but still a necessary board to pack along for any trip.
"2010 Burton Feelgood V Rocker 144" 11/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Feelgood VRocker Snowboard Women's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  High Speeds,Park,Powder,Switch Riding,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  Great control, super easy to butter with, Never wheelied higher in my life, Speedy and floats very well in powder
  • Cons:  A bit tougher to bite into ice with lifted edges, Soft core, almost too easy to overflex, Picks up scratches easy on the black top coat

Experience:   Great board, the technology from Burton just keeps getting better. It's got great control at high speeds, very easy to turn into tricks and switch in, and super flexy. It's the 6th board I've owned, and one of the most I've enjoyed. It's just a smidge tougher to bite into ice since both ends are lifted - and that issue is probably addressed with the Flying V technology for the 2011 generation. I floated through 2 feet of fresh snow at June Mtn easy with this baby, no sinking with this gear!
