"Burton Freestyle Binding" 2/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  cheap, stylish, adjustable
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   not bad. they are a good binding for the price. sometimes it is difficult to get the ratchet to catch on the strap. kinda annoying. very adjustable. good for a starter binding.
"Kink = Fun" 3/1/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Ride Kink Wide Snowboard 159 Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Boxes,Jumps,Rails
  • Pros:  Twin shape, Forgiving, Flex
  • Cons:  High speed performance,

Experience:   I borrowed my friend's 156W Kink and loved it! It was great for free-riding on groomers, buttering, and park. I really liked the flex that it had, because it was soft enough to pull butters easily, but also was stable enough for a very large rider. That being said it had a little bit of chatter at high speed, but that is not what this board was made for. If you are new to the park, or progressing to the bigger features, snatch one of these up. I know I will probably get one when I can afford it. I really wish I would have tried some nose presses with this board.
"Burton Freestyle bindings" 2/28/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  Soft, Cheap,
  • Cons:  Plastic, Adjustability,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   The burton men's freestyle binding is good for a beginner. They are plastic, so durability could be an issue if you are going really hard and ride agressively in the park. At the same time they are very forgiving and flexible because of the plastic. I also really like the ratchets on the binding, because they are very loose and easy to ratchet on and off. Overall they are not bad, but could use a little more adjustability and it would be nice if the base plate got a little closer to the topsheet of the board for increased responsiveness. The toe strap is also pretty soft and can effectively be used as a cap strap.
"'08 Option Franchise" 2/28/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Option Franchise
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds
  • Pros:  Durable, Fairly versatile, Fast
  • Cons:  Directional, Stiff flex,

Experience:   This is a pretty nice all mountain board. I bought it when I was a beginner, and it did make progression a little difficult. This is mostly because it is a pretty stiff board (probably about a 7), and is also a traditional camber. The board is solid and durable though and I recommend it for riding in the forward direction, and I think it would hold up well in powder or backcountry as well. Overall it is a pretty solid board, and works well for big air and has some solid pop in it.
"Sierre Crew T" 12/28/2010

  • Pros:  true to size, durable,
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XL

Experience:   Great shirt to rep your company! Also great that it is free when you get to ski bum member level. Sharp looks, and it isn't just some flimsy cotton T.
"Burton A1 tool" 12/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton AL 1 Tool
  • Pros:  small, solid, versatile

Experience:   great for those quick tune ups while on the hill. there is no need to tolerate equipment that is adjusted improperly, with this small tool it is convenient to take with and make sure your board is ready for optimal riding.
"Burton Sweatshirt" 12/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Corp Logo Horizontal Pullover
  • Pros:  soft, true to size, warm
  • Cons:  shrinking,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XXL

  • Description:  decent

Experience:   this sweatshirt fits true to size and is very soft and warm. the collar is a little tight/constricting, but nothing too bad. very comfortable, get one.
"Burton Tee" 12/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Corp Horizontal Short Sleeve
  • Pros:  soft, true to size,
  • Cons:  shrinking,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XXL
  • Fits Like:  XXL
  • Description:  good

Experience:   the burton horiz corp logo tee is nice. it comes pretty true to size, but after a cycle of washes it shrinks a little bit(mostly in length). overall it is very soft and comfortable. a good buy for sure.
"Burton Scraper" 12/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Tri Scraper Tool
  • Pros:  multiple edges, cut out corner,

Experience:   It gets the job done. Helps for scraping off wax, and you don't have to worry about damaging your board since it is plastic.
"Option Franchise" 12/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Option Franchise
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Use:  Groomed,High Speeds,Park,Ungroomed
  • Pros:  versatile- all mtn, durability, styling

Experience:   I have owned this board for a couple years, and it works well for me even though I am a beginner. Others have tried my board that are more experienced, and they also liked it. I haven't really used it on anything other than groomers because I am not very experienced, but it has held up and worked well for me. It seems very good as far as edging and high speed turns, haven't done much jumping/park with it yet.
"Freestyle '08" 12/11/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Freestyle
  • Pros:  cheap, sturdy, durable
  • Cons:  shaping,

Experience:   I have owned this binding for a few years. It is a good value, but it isn't the best binding out there. The shaping of the binding doesn't seem to fit well with boots (should be more rounded/contoured inside), and I have tried it with multiple boots. It also periodically had problems with the ratchet on the straps; it doesn't tighten easily or as much as desired at times, which can be very annoying when you want to be strapped in tight with no foot movement. They have held up well for me, so they seem durable, and you can never go wrong with Burton.
"Protect your noggin" 2/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Red Trace
  • Pros:  cheap, comfortable, strong
  • Cons:  melon head,

Experience:   Comfortable, nice helmet. adjustable for all diff temps, great for me, bc im a hot head. doesn't look the coolest, but not bad. good investment in your brain.
"Works Great" 4/27/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Option Franchise
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Boxes,Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Powder,Rails
  • Pros:  Durable, lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Strong edgehold, Great value
  • Cons:  Too stiff

Experience:   only reason i put "too stiff" for cons is bc it is a little stiff for me since i am a beginner. this board is meant for a more intermediate rider, so i am hoping my skill level will grow into it nicely. i have had literally no problems with it as of yet. buy this beast.
"Burton Freestyle Bindings" 3/8/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Burton Freestyle
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Pros:  Adjustability, Easy in & out, Boot hold, Durable, Good construction quality, Well known brand, Popular model, Easy installation
  • Cons:  Uncomfortable
  • Fit:  fits fine

Experience:   Good binding for beginner. Works well for me, although they could use a little more padding. The lack of padding makes pressure points on your feet after you wear them for a long time. Also, the straps don't tighten very easily some times.
