"Best bang for the buck!" 9/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (5) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Union Force
  • Pros:  Solid all around design, Comfy straps, Great amount of adjustability
  • Cons:  Tricky cap strap,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   One of the bindings that will never let you down, no matter where you take it. Grind them in the park, float it in the freshies, slash it on the groomers, nail it on the jumps. This is the binding that does it all. From the first moment you strap in, you can feel how solid the bindings are. The response is there when you need it and the bindings are mid stiff. My only gripe is the design of the cap strap. There is a correct way to wear them and may not be common knowledge to all. I am talking about having the thin piece of plastic run across the toe of your boot, while the rest of the strap sits on top. Just googgle it and you will find out. The only way that i can see them improving the force is adding a cant bed, but other then that, for the price you are paying, don't regret it.
"Great stomp pad!!!" 10/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Medium Spike Snowboard Mat
  • Pros:  Provides good traction, Great design overall,
  • Cons:  on the expensive side for a stomp pad,

Experience:   I am sorry, but the review before mine stating that you gave it 3 stars because you have to follow the directions to put it on is absurd. I just got this stomp pad recently and have been very impressed by it. I followed the instructions and only placed the stomp pad on a board that i wiped clean. Placing pressure on the stomp pad, does make it adhere better. I actually like the design with the raised portion in the middle, giving you the definitive grip. Another thing to note is the spikes, they are really pointed and are rounded (which i find as a bonus as i hate the pointed ones and always see them as a possibility of damaging my boots). As mentioned the only real con, the price. If you want the better things in life, you gotta pay for them.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Ruler Snowboard Boots Men's
  • Pros:  Super comfy, Really fast lacing up, Perfect amount of response and stiffness
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  8.5

Experience:   Bought these boots last season and decided to finally come and write my review. In total i have about 15 days on these boots. They were a world apart from my motos(worst boots ever?!) Where i kept getting foot pain in my motos, the rulers were super comfy. Mind you that i bought the exact same size from my motos to the rulers. First time i put these boots on, i just knew they were perfect. The amount of cushioning your foot get is amazing. One of the other benefits of the rulers is the price. Not too overly expensive, plus you get what you pay for. No need to look into higher end boots, when you got everything you need right here. Get the rulers and get back to what really matters and go shred some pow
"Solid Pants!" 5/6/2010

  • Name: 2010 Burton Fly Snowboard Pants
  • Pros:  Great waterproofing, Bright colors, Interface between burton jackets a plus!
  • Cons:  None,
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Exactly as the size chart describes

Experience:   My wife got these off of sierra and has enjoyed about 5 days on them without any complaints. She got them in amber and loves the color, exactly what she was looking for. When paired with her burton elavation jacket, the possibility of making the pants and jacket a one piece is nice since it keeps the snow out. Her only complaint about the whole system is that when you have to go to the bathroom, it just takes alittle more time. So overall, the pants are great, they fit to size as per the size chart and are highly recommended.

  • Name: 2010 Dakine Super Tune Kit
  • Pros:  Convenient, Packed full of goodies, Don't need anything else!
  • Cons:  Wax is not the greatest,

Experience:   This kit is great, comes with everything you need to do up your board real nice. The iron has no complaints about as it has been solid, helps spread the wax alot better then those cheap ones from walmart. My only complaint is that for the price your paying, the stick of wax is pretty small and if its your first time doing the drip method, you might end up wasting alot of it :( Just an FYI. Other then that great all around kit, but when i think about it, you would want better wax anyways!
"Buy this jacket!!" 3/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Rome Stance
  • Pros:  Magnetic buttons? > velcro straps, Keeps you dry without the thick heavy jacket, Color is true to what is seen
  • Cons:  None,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  It's loose, but not too baggy, just right!

Experience:   Got this jacket and few weeks ago and what can i say? This jacket is alot lighter then my previous ripzone one :P and the waterproof/breathability numbers are the exact same. This jacket is definitely going to keep you dry, from the waterproofability to the powder skirt. I really like the design and the features of the jacket, though the thing to put my thumb into, seems alittle ... weird. But other then that, the rest of the jacket is dope. Got it in blue and would never have had a second thought about it. If your on the fence about this one, buy it! You won't regret and you'll have a good time shredding in it! Peace.

  • Name: 2010 Burton Elevaton Womens
  • Pros:  Curacao is a very nice shade of blue, Stays dry for a day in the snow, Love the burton zip system (jacket + pants)
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  XS
  • Fits Like:  XS
  • Description:  Somewhat slimming

Experience:   Got this for my wife awhile back and have never looked back since. She totally loves the jacket in curacao, and it goes very nicely with her pair of burton fly pants. Never knew before, but you can actually zip a burton jacket and pants together to form a one piece :D The jacket has kept my wife dry on about 10+ occasions so far and still going strong. If you can find this jacket in your size, buy it!!!
"Pretty good!" 2/6/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Spade Stomp Mat
  • Pros:  good traction, not glue issues,

Experience:   Got this for the wife and have had no really complaints about it, other then that we didn't get her the clear one and that it covers up her boards topsheet a tiny bit. No problems with the adhesion and would highly recommend this to anyone else.
"Alittle on the small side" 4/7/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Bern Macon Hard Hat
  • Pros:  nice and comfy. Very sturdy construction
  • Cons:  fits on the smaller side of things. I.e. if you are a medium with r.e.d. helmets, i would buy a large for bern.

Experience:
"Ventilation so good, it makes me cold" 11/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Anon Realm Snowboard Goggles
  • Pros:  Very good amount of ventilation, Sleek design,
  • Cons:  Fit is alittle off on my asian nose ,

Experience:   Got these goggles last year to chalk up my third pair of goggles. Got a great deal on them and was pleasently surprised by how well they performed. On those cold winter days, the ventilation was so good, that it actually was freezing my face on the lifts. They never fogged up on me and they are pretty fashionable. I liked how they looked, but some others did't agree. Be warned, that if you are asian, these goggles may not be the greatest fit. It is alright for me, but i do see a minor gap in them at the bridge. Nothing major, but i would assume it's alot worse for those with smaller bridges then average. Overall, i have been very happy with the goggles and my only suggestion for improvement would be more peripheral vision, as this goggle doesn't really provide any.
"Sessions FTW!" 11/4/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Primo Snowboard Jacket
  • Pros:  Great Price for teh features , Great design, Nice and Bright (got the citron)
  • Cons:  Nothing,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  Perfect, not too snug, not too baggy.

Experience:   Sweet jacket, just the right amount of warmth to wear either by itself on a warm day or throw on some coldgear under on those especially freezing days. I have always loved session's softgoods and how theres always so many pockets, gaitors in the right places and just the general amount of innovation/intuitive thinking that they put in their gear. Top notch as always and this jacket is no different. Grab it while you can!
"Decent Goggles" 11/3/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Anon Figment Snowboard Goggles
  • Pros:  Stylish Design, Great clarity (yellow mirrored lense), Great ventilation
  • Cons:  Strap pops off sometimes, Easily scratches,

Experience:   I bought the 2009 figments before the beginning of the 2010 season and was not disappointed using them. The goggles are essentially the same every year with maybe a refresh in color. I bought the black and yellow mirrored lense. Great for blue bird days, decent on overcast. Overall the goggles were great to me, i loved the look and the feel. The fit was perfect and it never really fogged up on me. My two main issues with the goggles are that when wearing the goggle with a helmet, the strap does pop off sometimes, more of an annoyance then anything. The other con was when there was rain on the slopes and whatever rain his my goggles ended up freezing and while riding i would try to wipe it off, which did result in scratching. Maybe it was the mirrored finished and that it shows up more easily, but whatever. A con is a con. Would i recommend it? It's decent and for the price i paid (45$) i would not complain. It is what it is.

  • Name: 2010 Vonzipper Chakra Goggles
  • Pros:  Great fit for an asian face, Matching skullcandy's give that extra touch,
  • Cons:  Price?,

Experience:   I got these for my wife a few months back and they have been nothing but compliments. They look great and fit her very nicely. I ended up garbbing the love lust chrome with the skullcandy's. She doesn't ride with music too often, but she did like the option and she liked how the headphones matched the goggles. The goggles also fit her face very well, as she is asian, but i would say her bridge normal? :D There has never been fogging on the goggles and there has always been the perfect amount of ventilation. In conclusion, the goggles are highly recommended. Sure i did put price as a con, but those were for the skullcandy version, which was pretty pricey. The goggles alone aren't too bad.
"Great board for your little grom to learn on!!" 10/22/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Burton Chopper Snowboard Kid's
  • Skill:  Beginner
  • Use:  Groomed,Low Speeds,Switch Riding
  • Pros:  Easily to learn on, Practically catch free, Great all around!
  • Cons:  Price?,

Experience:   Got this for my little boy this season and he was stoked when we took it out to some man made snowpark for him to start on. He had a great time on it and i am sure he will grow to love it. Can't wait for him to take it to the local mountain, just waiting for the white stuff :D. The rocker like design is good for little kids as it prevents them from catching an edge as easily as it is on a cambered board and heck as long as he is having fun, i don't mind. The only con may be price, but thinking that he can get a few years out of it, then that wouldn't be too bad at all. Overall, it's a great looking board and was definitely designed for the beginner in mind.
"Great shorts for a great price" 5/31/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Analog Frequency
  • Pros:  Eye catching design, Convenient zipper, Just the right length
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  well designed and well made

Experience:   Got these shorts not too long ago and have had no complaints. The shorts are about the perfect length, sitting right at my knee cap, though i did measure the length on myself before buying. The zipper is convenient for storing your locker key or what not. The strings have never failed, knock on wood, as my previous pair of shorts, the string would keep coming undone. Making it really annoying to keep retying them everyone so often. Overall great shorts and i love the design on them.
"Alittle on the thin side" 5/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Colt Jr. Youth
  • Pros:  None,
  • Cons:  Very thin, won't keep those tiny hands warm, Poorly designed,

Experience:   Got these for my little boy and would highly recommend against anyone doing the same. The gloves are thin, and don't seem to provide, if any, insulation. The gloves are almost like pipe gloves, but they aren't advertised as so. I was pretty underwhelmed when i got them in and have been alittle sour. They appear like decent thick gloves, when you see them online, but they aren't that way in person. If your packing this for a day on the slopes, it may be wise to pack more then one pair.
"Really warm and great fit/design" 5/25/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Sessions Breakaway Snowboard Pants Men's
  • Pros:  Very warm (dual layer/insulated), Great design, plently of pockets, Quality, well made and attention to detail
  • Cons:  None, Zip, Nada
  • Pant Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S
  • Description:  The fit on these are perfect and highly adjustable.

Experience:   Got these pants awhile back and have not had a second thought. The color is great, nice and vibrant, but not highlighter-ish. Nice solid green. Nice contrast details designed into the pants, such as zippers, buttons and what not. The pants are insulated and are very warm, almost too warm. The insulated layer is adjustable with drawstrings and the pants are adjustable with velcro straps on each side. There are also plenty of pockets, so you never need to worry about where you can store your keys and knick knacks. Overall, grab these pants, they are a hell of a good price and you won't regret it. Cheers.
"Great goggles for the tyke" 5/18/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Von Zipper Trike Youth
  • Pros:  Great fit, Decent ventalation,
  • Cons:  Sometimes fogs up, Peripheral vision not the greatest,

Experience:   The goggles are pretty decent and for the price, you get a decent brand. Got these for my son, who is 7 and have had no major complaints. They do fog up once in a bit, but that is usually only due to wacky weather or when he wears a face mask. The fit on the goggles are perfect and the straps can be adjusted to your growing grom. For the price and the convenience of covering up your little ones eyes, why wouldn't you buy this?
"Got these for my boy!" 4/28/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Flow B2 Snowboard Bindings Girl's
  • Pros:  easy in and out, solid design,
  • Cons:  takes awhile to adjust,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Great bindings! Got these for my little boy who is taking up snowboarding and have had nothing but good words. The flow step in style is very convenient for the little ones as their hands may not have enough dexterity to put straps on with gloves, a coat and what not on, so he does enjoy just stepping in and popping them on. The only minor issue is that you have to take your time and adjust these bindings, they aren't screw in and go. Gotta adjust the bindings to the boots and once that's all up and ready, then your good to shred. If your thinking about grabbing these for you little one, do so, saves you time and aggravation in the long run.

  • Name: 2009 Burton Gore Tex Under
  • Pros:  Gore tex is the way to go, Under glove is nice for trips to the park, Great design with the vents
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   Bought these gloves last year and have nothing but good words. Gloves have never soaked through and have pretty much made me only want to buy gore tex softgoods. If you can get your hands on a pair of these, do so. Totally worth the price of admission.
"Comfy boots!" 4/20/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Forum Destroyer
  • Pros:  Very Comfy, Well designed, Lasted 2 seasons and still going strong
  • Cons:  Slow lacing system... good old way,
  • Fit:  stiff
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  7.5
  • Boot Size:  8

Experience:   My wife got these for her feet after she had her foot surgery and has always had a hard time wearing snowboarding boots. She normally wears a 7.5, but this time had to opt for the half size up. She tells me the boots are very comfy and has never complained from a full day of riding about how the boots are in any way, shape or form. The only downside with these boots are the lacing system. It's the old school way and of course you shouldn't be expecting to race out of the gate with these. overall, great boot, if you can get your hands on these, then buy them. Don't think twice either :D
"Great Goggles!" 4/19/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Anon Realm Painted Mirror
  • Pros:  Good fit, No fogging of any sorts, Well built
  • Cons:  Lense scratches very easily, Replacement lenses $$$,

Experience:   So i got these goggles for a deal at my local shop and have nothing but good words to say. The goggles are solid and fit my face very snug. The amount of airflow in this thing is great and is actually cold sometimes on windy days. One day i was riding this and we had melting snow, which led to my goggles freezing over. Rubbing it off caused my goggles to scratch up :( I was also looking buying replacement lenses and man those cost as much as my goggles! Finally my last little issue with the goggles is that sometimes when i pull my goggles off and onto my helmet, the strap pops out, which is alittle bit of an annoyance. Overall a three star, buy it if you can grab it cheap.
"This bag is a beast!!!!" 4/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Overload Convertible (200cm)
  • Pros:  Big and roomy, Very well Padded, Well thought out design
  • Cons:  It's HUGE!,

Experience:   What can i say? This bag is huge! So big, that sierra has to ship it in it's own seperate box! I really can't complain though, since i did have a feeling that buying a 180cm fully padded bag, that splits into two, may be on the big side, but my wife was really thrown for a loop. The bag is solidly designed and i cannot talk it down one bit. The padding is great, better then my burton board sacks. I like how the two bags clip together and is pretty much an idiot proof system. The wheels are convenient, and my buddy was so impressed with my bag and it's hugeness that he had to order one himself :D. Overall, if you want something to protect your board and probably anything else you wanna throw in it, then get this bag, the convenience of splitting into 2 bags is also something that you shouldn't take lightly either. Buy this bag if you are on the fence about it, before they are all gone.
"Great tool" 4/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2008 Dakine Mega Blaster Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Lots of bits to choose from, Egronomic Handle,
  • Cons:  Bits sometimes get jammed,

Experience:   Owning this tool myself, it is leaps and bounds better then my old burton a-1 tool. The handle on this tool is nicely formed and does not give the opportunity to cut you, and the variety of bits to choose from is really good. For the price of the tool, there is no reason not to grab this thing, rather then get screwed over at a resort and end up paying close to 20$ for something that isn't as great.
"Steer Clear of this one!" 4/7/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2005 Dakine Snowboard Stomp
  • Pros:  Hasn't fallen off,
  • Cons:  Nothing that really acts as a grip, Gets covered in snow easily messing up any grip, Poorly designed, pretty big

Experience:   My friend had this stomp pad on one of his boards, and both him and i agree that this stomp pad sucks. There really isn't any hold of any sort, when you use this and when there is snow on it, you might as well have never threw a stomp pad on at all. Save yourself some money and grief by bying something spiked or raised. Don't let this ridicoulusly cheap price fool you, spend the extra 50 cents and get something more practical.
"Stay away!" 3/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Cross Studs
  • Pros:  Nothing,
  • Cons:  Poorly designed, No traction whatsoever, Falls off quickly

Experience:   I bought these last season and have been very disappointed with them. For 3 bucks i thought they were a steal, but to my surprise and discovery of these reviews later, the crosses were underwhelming. They don't really give me any traction, stomp pad wise, as my burton air logo does. To top it all off, this crappy setup of a stomp pad fell off the second day of riding. Stay far far away from these and go buy one of the better thought out designs. Please!
"Decent stomp pad" 3/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Dakine Spade
  • Pros:  Small , Spikes give the stomp pad good traction, Hasn't seen it fall off yet....
  • Cons:  Spikes breaking,

Experience:   Ended up grabbing this for the wife at a local store for 0.50cents and just couldn't resist. Pleasently suprised at the quality of the stomp pad. It's been on there and still holding strong for 10+ days of boarding. The only thing i can see wrong with this stomp pad is that i noticed one of the spikes broke and there is only like 9 on the pad. I could be wrong about the count though, but heck for the price you can get it off of sierra for, there is no reason to not buy one.
"Highly unrecommended" 3/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Moto
  • Pros:  Looks nice, Quick lacing system,
  • Cons:  Very poor support, Prone to pain,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  soft
  • Shoe Size:  9
  • Boot Size:  9

Experience:   So i actually have the 2009 motos and i wasn't able to select that years model, but i wanted to chime in on any potential buyers. Sure this boot is cheap, with 50% it's pretty dirt cheap. But there are reasons why it is so. Support in this boot is pretty crappy. Almost after everytime i rode for the good portion of last year and this year, my foot was always killing. Ended up grabbing a pair of rulers and my god, the difference between the boots is night and day. The rulers have much more comfort and have given me no pain at all. The difference is price is such a minor thing for comfort. If your strapped for cash and don't care too much about foot pain, then buy these. If you want something more comfy and supportive, look elsewhere.
"Good quality, but be careful" 3/23/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2010 Roxy Torah Bright Womens
  • Pros:  Good quality, Keeps you dry, Highback on the waist keeps the snow out
  • Cons:  Colour recieved compared to online was alittle off,
  • Pant Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Alittle bit looser, the other size small pants, fits more like a medium

Experience:   My wife overall was very pleased with these pants. She loved the waterproofability and features such as a higher backside, which helped keep the snow out. The only let down was the color, as it was more of a dark mustard/cardboard yellow, rather then what is pictured. Blame it on the lighting :D
