"Burton Custom X ICS Review" 8/6/2009
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton Custom X
  • Skill:  Advanced
  • Use:  Carving,Groomers,Jumps,Powder
  • Pros:  lightweight, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds
  • Cons:  Top sheet scratches

Experience:   i have a 164 its such a awesome board to ride super light and stable at speed the edges that it has on it to grip into ice really do work and just feel so nice not to have to worry as much about icy days. i wouldnt suggest this board if your into the park this board is definatly all mountain but its pretty stiff and wont be that nice for butters or rails best board i own
"like em" 10/14/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2010 Burton Cartel EST
  • Pros:  light weight, style, flex
  • Cons:  mega bed,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   i have the the first est's from 08 but if anyone else has tried them you know the hi-back is pretty stiff and are a little bit heavier.. so i like the flex of these bindings the hi-back is'nt so set like on the previous est.. my only complaint is the mega bed there's nothing wrong with it i just wish it came with the cant bed like the un-inc's but all in all this is a awesome binding... if your a competent person the setup is easy... ive herd some people having some difficulty with the stance angles when they have their back foot really positive...but i guess im within what burton calls infinite stance angles

  • Fit:  Just right

"good so far" 10/9/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2009 Burton SL-X
  • Pros:  pretty stiff, speed lace, good fit
  • Cons:  yuppy heating,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  12
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   so i just purchased this boot from sierra as always good shipping and with no snowfall this year so far I'm writing this more as a first impression.. so as far a sizing goes its the same as my Burton hails but easily 10x more comfortabe... the cap strap seems the integrate really well with the toe on the boot as there is a space just big enough for the upper part of the ultra cap strap... the boots also seem to distribute the pressure from the straps well also...there easy to walk in... i like the speed lace system it seems strong and offers 2 aeras of adjustment i have kinda tall feet so i like to run the bottom of my boots a bit looser.. theres 2 things that im on the fence about this boot is the price and the heating pack theses things are no joke they cost 250 and they were on sale for me money isnt too big of a option and i can splurge when it comes to some stuff but seriously 500 new and they dont come with the heating pack...further you dont even get the pack with it i think if your going to offer something that has the newest greatest thing then it should be included with the item... how fun is it to see the phrase some assembly required...but even then i dont know how i feel im pretty sure id get made fun of by my friends if they knew i had heated boots ill write a follow up review after ive used them afew times out

one thing i forgot to add was the shrinkage sole thing which is a advantage to me cuz i wear a 11.5 which means im in that mid-wide board range and with that kinda tech i get any board
