The culmination of the four-event Sierra Snowboard World Tour, Sierrapalooza will bring Sierra staff and community members together in the intimate setting of Sugar Bowl Ski Resort on Donner Summit, Calif.
An event with a three-year history of good times, good friends and good snow, this year’s Sierrapalooza meet up is expected to be the biggest and most fun yet, with Sierra community members all staying together in the on-hill Lodge at Sugar Bowl.
Sierra Snowboard’s Social Media Director Jenn Mahoney (aka Little Ole Me) said she expects around 70 community members to stay for the entire weekend, with a grand total of 100+ stopping by for at least some of the weekend’s festivities.
According to Mahoney, Many of Sierra’s out-of-state community members will be coming out to Cali for Sierrapalooza including:
Zoe, MagicWeed, DCDomain, DonkeyButt, her fiance PeteyPabilito, DLaw, Kale and KMorrison are all making an appearance from various areas of the East Coast.
Cadallac Tramps, Rexy, HC RideR IL and Ananas are representing the MidWest.
While Bru, Mattaleao, Rzero & PowPowPirate will be here from CO/Utah area.
We've also got a small crew coming up from Texas, which includes Wingnutx and four of his friends, as well as Capicu, Kylaks and ShayneG.
We've also got a small group from SoCal coming up, which is Gsrrr and Hana.
And last, but absolutely not least, we've got our NW crew, consisting of Shaka, Migs, Jaboogie, Duneluder, Eyedolon, Brody and myself coming down from Washington and Oregon.
Oh, and how could I forget to mention the lone wolf coming from Montana.... our boy MTPow, and Baby Carlos, aka E13, coming up from Arizona.
Packages are $249 for two nights shared lodging (Friday & Saturday, April 16 & 17) and two days lift tickets (Saturday & Sunday, April 17 & 18), as well as four meals. Package deals will be available through April 13, or until all are sold out. (There were only 7 packages left as of 2 p.m. on April 12.)
Daily discounted lift tickets are also available for only $49 per day for community members and friends who don’t need lodging.

What the community is saying:
Little Ole Me:
These tours stops have been a whole ton of fun. It's brought a great number of our members together, and helped us as staff get to know many of them better. It has also brought some great fresh meat in and helped them become a part of the Sierra family very quickly. (MagicWeed is a great example, signed up on the site Feb 16, 2010, went to the VT stop and is now flying out to join us all for the Tahoe stop!)
It's been a learning experience for us, as a business, as well. It's been really fun meeting up with more and more customers, getting personal feedback from them on various aspects of the business, whether it's the forums, chat or retail side of the site, as well as the boards that we've produced this season. It's great to make the relationships that we have with all of them personal and meet some of the greatest people who back us and give us all jobs!
This year, I'm just looking forward to getting together with everyone that's showing up for the weekend. We'll be seeing many familiar faces, but also some newer ones that many have not met in person yet.
Personally, I'm looking forward to coming back to where it all started last year with the first and only stop of the 2009 season and taking it to the next level with the numbers we have this time around. It'll be fun to get back to Tahoe as well and ride Sugar Bowl.
Mattaleo:
For me, it's really about riding with friends. Last season I came out to Tahoe for Bruizzapalooza and it was my 8th/9th days riding ever. Jenn & Brody took me in and let me stay with them, and after meeting everyone that came out last year the rest is sort of history. Riding out there really sparked a love for the sport for me, and played a large roll in my decision to pick up this year and move out to Colorado, so I could surround myself with people who were as dedicated to riding as I was.
This year I'm looking forward to going back and riding those same runs I did last season, except now with another 40+ days under my belt since I last saw them. I anticipate this year’s Tahoe event to be even more fun for me, because now I can keep up with everyone, and I can do some of the runs that were a bit too hard for me last year. It'll be great to see & ride with everyone again, and that fresh Tahoe air in the morning is always a great start to a day of shred.
Gsrrr:
I can't wait to see old friends again and meet new ones. I am excited I can put more faces to usernames. Snowboard all day and party all night. Wake up, repeat! Can't wait!
