clee02 clee02 - Thanks, this was very helpful. I'm a new boarder and was having trouble with my turns. My friend taught me the heel and toe turns in the opposite directions, so I'm thinking that next time I'll be able to get it down.

dougfagel dougfagel - The turns in this video are a linked skidded turn, meaning the tail of the board takes a wider track than the nose of the board. In a carved turn the tail follows the exact path of the nose across the snow. This leaves a pencil line track in the snow and can be used to increase speed while riding around the mountain. Skidded turns are essential turns that can slow you down and are the key to becoming comfortable in steeper terrain.
