Snowboard Tip of the Day: Pipe Stance

Progressing your Half Pipe Riding: [TUBE]LQvg_NULThg[/TUBE] By correcting your stance you can get into sooner and progress your skills quicker in any Half Pipe. The key to a good stance for pipe riding is flexed knees with your knees slightly rolled out. Your upper body and head should be up to allow for better balancing. Your spine should be perpendicular to the terrain "_|_" whether you are on flat ground or on the vertical wall of the pipe.

Byers - Hey Doug, I started riding pipe 2 yrs ago but still having trouble picking up speed to get more air. Is there a trick to this or is it as simple as doing less jumps and using the hill to speed you up?

Omitson - Pipe is so tough if you want to do it right. The tips are great but pretty hard to put into actual movement.
